Seven months before completing his £116m transfer, Liverpool left quite the impression on Florian Wirtz.
The Reds have continued their summer spending spree with the club-record £100million signing of the German international.
The Premier League champions have paid Bayer Leverkusen £100million for the 22-year-old Germany international, but that fee could potentially become a British record as there are £16m of add-ons included.
Wirtz was part of the Leverkusen side that was beaten 4-0 in the Champions League by Arne Slot's side back in November.
And that night at Anfield left a lasting impression on the playmaker.
