Liverpool’s new signings have been bedding in nicely during pre-season so far.

A holiday together often takes friendships to another level and although the Reds weren’t vacationing in the Far East, they have spent plenty of time in each other’s company recently.

Having only arrived at the club in June, this summer’s tour was the first chance for Florian Wirtz to get to know his new Liverpool teammates.

Wirtz was seen touring the town in Tokyo alongside several members of the Liverpool squad and looks to be making himself at home already.

Of course, the German’s adaptation to Liverpool has been aided by the presence of former Bayer Leverkusen colleague Jeremie Frimpong, who arrived alongside him this summer.

And as Wirtz names his three best friends in football, Frimpong has learnt whether he has been included in the cut.

Wirtz and Frimpong were recently included in an episode of ‘Bezzies’ on LFCTV; a show where two close Liverpool teammates answer questions about each other.

Watching the video back, it is uncanny just how much the former Leverkusen pair answer correctly.

So, when asked by Pro:Direct Soccer to name his three closest friends in football while modelling Liverpool’s new Adidas home kit, it was not a surprise to hear Wirtz include Frimpong.

“Oooh, I’ve some really good friends,” the 22-year-old answered, while looking resplendent in his new Liverpool strip.

“Jonathan Tah, Jeremie Frimpong is also a good friend.

Amine Adli, from Leverkusen.”

As well as Frimpong, Wirtz also seems to be clicking with several other members of the Liverpool team.

He was pictured out in Tokyo with a big group, including all four of the Reds’ Dutch players along with Hugo Ekitike, Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones.

Jones handed Wirtz the assist for his first Liverpool goal against Yokohama F.
