When a team wins the Premier League with four games to spare, you’d expect them to relax a little.
But Liverpool aren’t slowing down.
Instead, they’re pushing harder — and smarter — in the transfer market.
This summer is different.
Not just because Jurgen Klopp is gone, but because Arne Slot, who many doubted, has delivered.
In his first season, he led the Reds to their second-ever Premier League title.
Now, he wants to build on that momentum.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is on his way to Real Madrid.
That’s a big name out.
But like we exclusively revealed, Liverpool already responded by agreeing deal to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
And it looks like they’re not done with Leverkusen just yet.
Florian Wirtz, the Bundesliga’s golden boy, is the next target.
He’s young, creative, and has just had a fantastic season.
It’s clear he won’t come cheap — not on transfer fee, and certainly not on wages.
But that’s where Liverpool are showing intent again.
Liverpool have reportedly made a huge contract offer to Florian Wirtz as they work to bring the Bayer Leverkusen star to Anfield.
The playmaker is seen as a major addition to the midfield, and the Reds aren’t holding back in their pursuit.
According to Sky Sports Switzerland’s Sacha Tavolieri, “the contract offer from the Reds is worth up to 20 million euros gross per year,” which is “just under £17 million per year, or £325,000 per week.”
That kind of wage would put Wirtz among the highest earners at Liverpool — a clear show of how much the club value his potential.
Tavolieri added that Liverpool have made this offer to “convince him into signing for them.”
All signs now point to a transfer being a matter of time, with the report stating that “it is a question of when, not if, Wirtz moves to Anfield.”
Wirtz was vital in Leverkusen’s unbeaten Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double last season.
With 16 goals and 15 assists across all competitions, he proved himself as one of Europe’s top creators.
This would be a massive statement from Liverpool — not just for the fans, but for the entire Premier League.
