Florian Wirtz is Liverpool's new record signing, and could ultimately become the English record transfer.

But the division has long since attracted international appeal, and it's useful for all fans to have a guide.

As part of his signing day video, Liverpool staff asked Wirtz what fans should call him.

Wirtz was clearly keen on the vision sold to him, picking Liverpool over other suitors including Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but we won't know for sure until preseason gets underway.

The likely departure of Darwin Nunez could open up a spot through the middle, where Wirtz spent some of his time with Bayer Leverkusen

And in any case, Wirtz's creativity might be better deployed further back now that Trent Alexander-Arnold has left, potentially necessitating a midfield reshuffle to accommodate him in the role currently fulfilled by Dominik Szoboszlai.

The left flank is another possibility, although Liverpool's insistence that it does not want to sell Luis Diaz would suggest otherwise
