Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Florian Wirtz next summer.

EXCLUSIVE: Ian Rush reveals to the ECHO what Mohamed Salah has told him about his Liverpool future German newspaper Bild have claimed that Liverpool are interested in Wirtz but face some competition for his signature from the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder has been catching the eye of scouts across the continent due to his performances since breaking on to the Bundesliga scene, this season bagging six times in eight games in all competitions, while he has racked up more than 50 games for the German side over the last three years, earning four senior caps for Germany along the way.

Wirtz has, according to the analysis, seen a £12.5m rise this season, a rise that takes his value up in the market to around £61m, although that is a figure that any would-be buyers would likely have to push beyond to secure his services, with Chelsea having to pay in excess of £70m to land Kai Havertz from Leverkusen last year.
