There is a confidence within the Liverpool camp that a deal can be done over the next few days.
Another player Liverpool are in talks over is Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
There is again said to be confidence that a deal can be done, with Liverpool expected to pay a fee of between £45 million and £50 million for the Hungarian international.
Kerkez has been one of the standout left-backs in the Premier League this season, and he sent a hint on his future with a recent Instagram post that said: “I don’t know what will happen in the next few weeks but Cherries family thank you!”

If Liverpool are able to get a deal done for Kerkez, it makes it likely that one of their current left-backs will move on this summer.
