Florian Wirtz has issued a message after scoring his first goal for Liverpool.

It was just a couple of minutes before that where Wirtz found the back of the net with an assist from Mohamed Salah to equalise for Liverpool in Japan.

The strike was also Wirtz's first goal in a Liverpool shirt, and he has now issued a message after his landmark moment for the club.



Liverpool will also have an eye on the Premier League opener against Bournemouth on August 15.

It was back in June that Liverpool completed the signing of Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 22-year-old is alongside Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Hugo Ekitike, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman in completing a move to Anfield during the current transfer window, with the potential for more to come ahead of the September 1 deadline.
