Liverpool’s move for Florian Wirtz is picking up pace — but the clock is ticking.

No wonder Europe’s top clubs are lining up — but it’s Liverpool leading the charge.

Liverpool’s current offer is reportedly north of €100 million (£85 million), but Leverkusen are holding firm at a value closer to €130 million.
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, both sides are sending “offers back and forth” as they try to find common ground.
“Leverkusen are trying to get a player out of Liverpool,” Plettenberg added.
A possible player swap could delay things — and the Reds will need to make sure this doesn’t go into extra time.
Meanwhile, German legend Toni Kroos has given the move his stamp of approval.
“He [Wirtz] is a player who can prevail at any club in the world in my opinion,” Kroos said.
“It doesn’t matter if it would’ve been Bayern or Liverpool.”
That’s high praise — and high pressure.
For now, Wirtz remains a Leverkusen player.
