Florian Wirtz is already showing signs of brilliance as he prepares for the season following his record-breaking move to Liverpool.
While the wait to see Wirtz line up for Liverpool continues, the club’s social media team recently showed a glimpse of what fans can expect, with the 22-year-old impressing his team-mates in training during the team’s pre-season tour.
The footage showed Wirtz taking part in a training drill, receiving a pass with his back to goal.
New Liverpool full-back Jeremie Frimpong has already told supporters what his former Leverkusen team-mate will bring to the Reds.

“Just expect a winner.
He’s going to be perfect and he’s playing with Liverpool players [too] – so he’s going to be perfect.
He’s going to be fine.”

Frimpong’s verdict has since been backed up by Reds midfielder Ryan Gravenberch: "I think everyone knows Florian and also here in training he is a really good player: technical, really good vision," he said.
Andy Robertson has spoken about the role the club’s senior players have taken to ensure that new arrivals, such as Wirtz and Ekitike, can quickly feel at home.

“When you look at the four older players or the leaders, with me, Ali [Becker], Virg [van Dijk] and Mo [Salah], then we take that upon ourselves to try to let them settle in as easy as possibole, try to integrate them into the squad as quickly as possible,” Robertson told liverpoolfc.com.
