Liverpool will have to wait six more days - at least - to officially sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen after the first transfer window of the summer closed on Tuesday night.
The calendar for player trades looks slightly different this off-season due to the inaugural edition of the expanded Club World Cup to be held in the United States.
Manchester City and Chelsea will be the Premier League's only representatives in the 32-team competition, which begins on June 15 when Inter Miami take on Egyptian side Al-Ahly.
And in order for clubs to bolster up their squads for the finals, FIFA authorised a 10-day transfer window to take place - between June 1 and June 10.
But as the rules of the sport's governing body stipulate that the transfer window cannot be open for more than 16 weeks across a calendar year, the window closed at 7pm on Tuesday - and won't reopen until June 16.

The Premier League champions have had several bids rejected for the 22-year-old so far, their latest thought to be in the region of £113m.

But despite Leverkusen holding out for a sum much closer to £126m, for the current Bundesliga Player of the Year, reports in Germany suggest an agreement between the two clubs is close.
Prior to opening talks with the 2024 Bundesliga winners, over a deal for Wirtz, Liverpool signed Jeremie Frimpong after triggering the £29.5m release clause in his Leverkusen contract.
Last week, the Reds added talented young goalkeeper Armin Pecsi to their ranks.
