Florian Wirtz has been told that he and Liverpool will be expected to win every game next season as the club aims to retain the Premier League title.
The Reds cantered to top-flight glory in 2024-25, winning the league with four games to spare and ending the campaign 10 points clear of second-placed Arsenal.
And Liverpool has reacted to winning the league by splashing the cash, bringing in Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, while confirmation of Milos Kerkez's move from Bournemouth to Liverpool is also imminent.
The Reds are also interested in Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi as a possible replacement for the Bayer Leverkusen-bound Jarell Quansah, while an approach for Alexander Isak has not been ruled out.

Following the league win, Slot will be eyeing more silverware in his second season in charge after the Reds lost the League Cup final and suffered early exits in the FA Cup and Champions League.
Wirtz and all of Liverpool's other new signings have been warned that they will be expected to win every time they enter the field for their new club.
“One thing I’ve always said about Liverpool – even though it can be said for a few other clubs – is that you are expected to win every game," Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy, a five-time English champion and two-time European champion, told Sportsboom.
“It will become increasingly harder to win the title; there will be more teams gunning for them.

Okay, you can play all the nice football – and teams do that – but they don’t win the game."
Wirtz picked up two trophies during the 2023-24 season at Leverkusen, inspiring Xabi Alonso's team to the Bundesliga title and German Cup
Leverkusen also reached the Europa League final that campaign but lost to Atalanta.
Yet Wirtz failed to win major hardware with Leverkusen last season, as Alonso's men were knocked out of both the German Cup and Champions League in the knockout stages, and they finished second in the Bundesliga to Bayern Munich
Leverkusen did, however, win the German Super Cup.
Kennedy added: “They might draw or lose out, so the most important thing which Liverpool have achieved – whether that’s under Klopp or Slot – is to win games.
“They’ll be desperate to win the league again this season and, if they show that winning mentality, then they can win it again.”
