talkSPORT understands that the final straw that broke the camel's back, leading to Nuno Espirito Santo being sacked by Nottingham Forest happened during the 3-0 defeat to West Ham United.

However, it wasn't the result, and it was actually because he didn't bring Douglas Luiz off the bench.

Forest signed the Brazilian from Juventus during the transfer window, but he was only on the bench against the Hammers.

And after refusing to bring him on and introducing Omari Hutchinson for just a minute, Evangelos Marinakis made up his mind and decided Nuno had to go.

Nuno's relationship with Edu had collapsed over the summer window over signings, and that proved to be the final straw.

talkSPORT understands that West Ham United rejected the chance to sign Andre Onana on loan.

The Cameroonian international is set to join Trabzonspor for the remainder of the season after Senne Lammens' arrival on deadline day.

The Belgian is expected to push Onana further down the pecking order at Old Trafford, where he lost his number one spot Altay Bayindir.

The Hammers were engaged in talks, but after watching him make two mistakes against Grimsby Town, David Sullivan pulled the deal.

Instead, the Irons are looking to bring Lukasz Fabianski back to the club.

Nottingham Forest legend and talkSPORT pundit Stuart Pearce has been reacting to Nuno Espirito Santo's departure.

It was confirmed in the early hours of this morning that Evangelos Marinakis had parted ways with Nuno after the pair's relationship broke down.

In his place, Ange Postecoglou is set to sign a two-year deal at the City Ground.

The appointment could be confirmed as early as today.

And on Nuno's departure, Pearce said: "I'm a little bit saddened actually, I think that Forest lost a manager in Steve Cooper that the fans were disappointed to lose and I think the same will be said about Nuno as well.

"The club seems to have a lot of stability, a European campaign to look forward to this season, more than established in the Premier League.

"Maybe saying a couple of the things that he said before publicly, maybe the writing was on the wall, but I'm a little bit disappointed.
I think he did well for Forest and established a very good style of play that all the players bought into.

"The first thing that sprung to my mind was Ange’s style of play, which is probably counter to how Forest have been playing and the success that Forest have been playing with.

"Nuno has very much a counter attack style of play, defending deep which suits Milenkovic and one or two others.

"I think we saw against West Ham when they came out and chased the game, they became a little bit open and vulnerable.

"Ange plays a style of play that is more expansive, more open.
The style of play has got to change and is going to change, there is no doubt about that.

"How that suits the squad of players that have been used to playing in one style, that was a big thing for me.

"I enjoy Ange, I enjoy listening to him and in all honesty I enjoy getting in my car and going to cover games where he puts teams on the pitch."

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been left out of England's matchday squad this evening for the game against Serbia.

The Arsenal full-back started the 2-0 win over Andorra at the weekend, but The Sun report he won't be playing any part in the match this evening.

This due to the fact only 23 players are allowed in the matchday squad.

Jarrel Quansah was the unfortunate one to miss out at the weekend, but with Marc Guehi struggling with a groin problem, it seems Quansah has got the nod over Lewis-Skelly.

Simon Jordan has been reacting to Nottingham Forest sacking Nuno Espirito Santo.

And Jordan thinks he got what he deserved.

Speaking on White and Jordan, he said: "When we addressed the subject ten days ago, when the manager decided to tell the world about his relationship with the owner - it was inevitable.

"I said to yo at the time, that's him gone, and so he has.

"I am not surprised, he's brought it upon himself.

The clip of Nuno talking about his relationship with Marinakis was then played out on-air, and Jordan said: "It's absurd!"

Thomas Tuchel insists he is paying no attention to criticism on himself following England's 2-0 win over Andorra.

While the Three Lions have won each of their opening four World Cup qualifiers, Tuchel has come under fire over his style of play.

But speaking to talKSPORT ahead of Tuesday night's clash away at Serbia, former Chelsea boss Tuchel has declared dealing with negative reactions comes with the England job.

Asked whether he believes criticism aimed at himself and England is unfair and if it affects him, Tuchel said: "No, the criticism is the criticism and the job comes with scrutiny and we're in public.

"It just comes with it, I don't take it personally, but I don't pay any attention to it.

"If we win, if we have the best game or not such a good game, it just makes no sense because I'm in the middle of the process

"I have my own observations, I have my own feedback with my staff and the players.
