Ange Postecoglou has been contacted over a potential managerial return with Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, talkSPORT understands.
Despite only being without a club for just over a week, Postecoglou has already found himself touted for an immediate return.
Al Ahli have held an initial call with the Aussie after placing him on their managerial shortlist in the event of boss Mathias Jaissle leaving.
It is understood that the ex-Spurs manager is not the only candidate for the would-be vacancy, with Xavi also a name considered.
However, the Saudi side's current preference is to hold onto their current manager Jaissle.

Paul Pogba is in talks with Monaco over a two-year contract, talkSPORT understands.
The former Manchester United star - who was free to start playing again from March 2025 - is giving serious consideration to the offer.
Pogba, who was fearing the end of his career with a ban running until 2027 prior to its decrease to 18 months, started training in January.
He was provisionally suspended on September 11, 2023, after testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone in his system.
talkSPORT understands that Pogba is keen to return to an elite club with a view to winning a place in France’s 2026 World Cup squad.

Manchester City have not received any formal offers for Jack Grealish, according to the BBC.
talkSPORT sources revealed earlier this week that the England winger has accepted that his City career is over.
Grealish broke the British record transfer fee in 2021 when he left boyhood club Aston Villa for the Etihad for £100million.
The 29-year-old, who has been left out of City's Club World Cup squad, has won seven honours under Pep Guardiola.
Grealish is contracted until 2027, and City are hoping for a fee of at least £50million, making a permanent transfer challenging.
His £300,000-per-week wage is also a stumbling block for suitors.

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly turned down the opportunity of a Club World Cup showdown with Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
The Portuguese captain confirmed last week that he would not be featuring in the revamped tournament that starts this weekend.
Ronaldo’s club side, Al-Nassr, did not qualify for the revamped competition, sparking interest in the football icon joining a new team to feature in the US, as his contract with the Saudi Pro League outfit runs out at the end of the month.
Moroccan club Wydad Athletic claim that preliminary contact had taken place regarding the signing of Ronaldo, but a deal was never close.
"Cristiano Ronaldo wouldn't have come for the money because he doesn't need it.
I’m looking forward to working with him again."
The new deal means he is now set to join an exclusive group of players during the upcoming campaign.
Milner will become only the fifth outfield player to feature in the Premier League aged 40 or older.
The 39-year-old turns 40 on January 4, allowing him to join Teddy Sheringham, Ryan Giggs, Kevin Phillips, and Gordon Strachan to have done so.
