Jude Bellingham is finally set for shoulder surgery 19 months after first dislocating it.
Following his switch to Spain, the 21-year-old dislocated his shoulder in a 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano in November 2023.
He was forced to miss Los Blancos' next two matches, while also being absent for England's final two Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The expectation was that Bellingham would go under the knife as a result of that injury setback, but ultimately, surgery never took place.
The England midfielder will now finally get surgery to fix the long standing issue after the completion of the Club World Cup.
He said: "I've reached the point where the pain isn't so bad, but I was sick of playing with the sling.
"I'm losing a lot of weight from sweating so much, and I've decided that I'll have surgery after the tournament.
"If he scores a goal, it's because he practises."
Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, said of Echeverri: "He reminds me a bit of Julian Alvarez - same type of player, his finishing is incredible.
"He is a really good guy, a bit shy in the beginning but I think he can help us a lot."

Milos Kerkez's £40million switch from Bournemouth to Liverpool is almost done.
The Hungarian defender is set to fly into the UK from Belgrade and undergo a medical today, according to the Athletic's David Ornstein.
The Reds have wasted no time in the transfer market since they were crowned champions by already spending £146million on new arrivals.
Dutch full-back Jeremie Frimpong was first through the door with a £29.5m move from Bayer Leverkusen, signing a five-year deal.
Wirtz became the second arrival at Anfield on Friday as he also joined from Leverkusen in a British transfer record deal worth £116.5m.
The completion of that move has accelerated the arrival of Kerez, who has already been replaced at Bournemouth by Adrien Truffert.

Jude Bellingham jokingly fanned the flames of a family feud with brother Jobe at the Club World Cup.
A day after Jobe scored his first goal for Borussia Dortmund, his older brother opened the scoring for Real Madrid in their win over Mexican side Pachuca.
It marks the first time the Bellingham siblings have scored in the same competition, and first time ever brothers have done so at the same Club World Cup.
Asked if his brother's goal was on his mind, Jude Bellingham told DAZN: "A little bit, I've got to be honest.
"We're 1-1 now and we'll see for the rest of the tournament," the England midfielder joked to DAZN.

Ryan Mason is closing in on making forgotten Liverpool man Nat Phillips his first signing as the new West Brom boss.
Phillips, who is expecting a baby with his partner, Molly Moorish-Gallagher, the daughter of Oasis frontman Liam, is looking to finalise a permanent transfer away from Anfield after six loans.
The 28-year-old, who has one year left on his Liverpool contract, was most recently at Derby last season.
According to the Telegraph, the defender is now close to signing for West Brom in a permanent deal.
Phillips, who joined Liverpool in 2016 from Bolton's academy, has struggled to break into the senior side in his near-decade at the club.
His only consistent run in the Reds first-team came under Jurgen Klopp during the COVID 2020-21 season, after fellow centre-backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez suffered serious injuries.
He has made 19 appearances for Liverpool, with his only goal coming in a 3-0 win away at Burnley in May 2021.

New York Jets co-owner Woody Johnson has reached an agreement with John Textor to buy his shares in Crystal Palace, talkSPORT understands.
The deal for Textor's 43 per cent stake, worth in excess of £171million [€200m], is subject to Premier League approval.
UEFA are now expected to ratify FA Cup winners Palace's participation in the Europa League by the end of this month.
The Eagles had been in danger of being dumped out of Europe's second-tier competition due to UEFA's multi-club ownership rules.
That is because Textor also controls Ligue 1 giants Lyon, who will also be plying their trade in the Europa League in the 2025/26 season.
Textor became involved in Palace in August 2021, where he invested £86m for 43 per cent of the ownership of the club.

Alejandro Garnacho risks alienating himself from Manchester United fans (if he hasn't already) by wearing an Aston Villa shirt on holiday.
The Argentina winger, who has been told to find a new club by Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim, shared a series of snaps to fans of his holiday to Ibiza.
The photo album on his Instagram post shows Garnacho chilling out in the pool as well as in the sea or visiting night spots of the famous Spanish party island.
However, the standout picture sees him don a replica jersey of a rival Premier League club of Man United's in Villa.
In the photo Garnacho has his back to camera, as he reveals he has Man United teammate Marcus Rashford's name and no.9 on the back of the Villa shirt.
Rashford, who spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Villa Park, enjoyed Garnacho's post, commenting: "My brother [love heart emoji]."
Needless to say, Man United fans will think differently...

Chelsea have been urged not to give up their transfer pursuit of Mike Maignan.
The AC Milan goalkeeper should be regarded as a must-sign player for the London club this summer, according to a former Blues star who insists their current options are not good enough.
Chelsea looked set to land the experienced France international on deadline day of the mini transfer window before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup.
However, the deal collapsed at the last minute with AC Milan holding out for their £25million asking price for the 29-year-old, who only has one year left on his contract.
Chelsea were only willing to pay around £15m, and so walked away from the deal.
Having pulled out of the deal for Maignan, manager Enzo Maresca has insisted he and the club are ‘happy’ with their current selection of goalkeepers.
But former Chelsea defender Scott Minto isn’t, and neither are a lot of the Stamford Bridge faithful.
“They still need a new goalkeeper, in my opinion,” Minto told talkSPORT.
“They have allegedly ended their pursuit of Mike Maignan, but I would be very surprised if that was the case.
“Maresca has come out and said they are happy with the keepers they’ve got - you’re not!
Pennant told talkSPORT: “If Liverpool are in for Marc Guehi, that signals to me that Konate is more on the side of leaving.
"I’m thinking, is this a situation like Real Madrid and Trent Alexander-Arnold, where Liverpool are saying to Guehi, ‘Just see your contract out and we will look after you’?
"Because Konate is the same situation, he’s in the last year of his contract and they haven't agreed a deal.
“So Liverpool might be saying to him, ‘Look, Konate's going to go at the end of this season, Marc Guehi, you see out your contract and come, join us for a free and we’re prepared to offer you this’.”

talkSPORT understands Marc Guehi has no plans to sign a new deal at Crystal Palace.
Palace would prefer a summer sale, especially as they are trying to sign Ousmane Diomande.
But Guehi is prepared to take his time and isn’t ruling out letting his contract run down.
One key factor for him is game time ahead of the World Cup next year.
The Eagles are hoping to get £50 million for the defender, with Liverpool and Newcastle United interested.

Aaron Ramsdale is being lined up for a summer move to Galatasaray, according to The Times.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper suffered the third relegation of his career last season when Southampton went down.
The Saints are unlikely to be able to keep Ramsdale this year because he has aims to go to the World Cup, and a transfer abroad could appeal.
Galatasaray's long-serving goalkeeper Fernando Muslera is set to leave the club this summer after 14 years, so they need a new shot-stopper.
However, any deal would likely be a loan.

Liverpool's transfer team are delivering this summer, as it is now being reported they have secured a buyback clause in the Jarell Quansah sale.
Fabrizio Romano claims that as well as pocketing £30 million from Bayer Leverkusen for Quansah, the Reds are also set to receive £5m in add-ons.
There is also a buyback clause inserted into the contract.
It's unclear what the terms of that buyback clause are, but if he does well in the Bundesliga, we could see him back at Anfield in a few years.

talkSPORT understands that Everton are in talks with Kenny Tete.
The right-back is a free agent, with his contract at Fulham not being renewed.
Nothing is agreed yet, but if Tete were to join David Moyes' men, any potential deal for Kyle Walker would be off.
Walker has been linked with a transfer to join the Toffees as well, with his time at Manchester City over.
Everton currently have Nathan Patterson and Seamus Coleman as options at right-back after losing Ashley Young.

The centre-back hasn't played for the Citizens for months, but he is in the Club World Cup squad to face Al Ain today.
And ahead of the game, he opened up on his injury hell.

They've signed an exceptional talent in Florian Wirtz."
