Liverpool have struck a deal with Bayern Munich for the sale of Luis Diaz, talkSPORT understands.

Diaz will join the German giants for a total fee of €75million (£65.5m) and has been given permission to leave Liverpool's pre-season tour of Asia to complete the move.

The Colombian international's move to Munich comes a year after he first expressed interest in leaving, having only joined in January 2022.

Once the Diaz deal is wrapped up, it will mean Liverpool have recouped £190m in player sales since Richard Hughes took over as their Sporting Director.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Alexander Isak won't be joining up with the team for the rest of their pre-season tour.

The Magpies are set to head to South Korea next to play a Korea Select XI and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Toon landed in Singapore earlier this week, with Isak not on the plane due to a small thigh injury.

However, the striker has also informed the club he wants to seek a move away, with Liverpool interested.

And when asked if he was expecting Isak to play in the remaining two games of the tour, he said: "No."

Short but definitive from the Toon boss who also confirmed he hoped Sven Botman would be fine after the defender was substituted 25 minutes into the second half.

Arsenal claimed a 3-2 win over Newcastle United, and 15-year-old Max Dowman impressed once again.

With the scores level at 2-2, the midfielder danced past Matt Targett before Joelinton was adjudged to have brought him down in the box.

Martin Odegaard stepped up to score the winning penalty, firing past John Ruddy.

It was a superb piece of skill from the teenager, who looks to have a serious amount of talent.

Newcastle United made nine changes at half time, and one of the players has levelled the game.

Jacob Murphy is the man with the goal, and he is the one who is likely to have competition from Anthony Elanga.

And this will do his chances of starting that first match of the season against Aston Villa no harm at all.

The winger picks up possession on the edge of the box and drives in a low shot.

It whistles into the near post of David Raya's goal.

We are approaching half time in Singapore, and Arsenal now lead Newcastle United 2-1.

Mikel Merino scored the equaliser as Arsenal won the ball high up the field.

It was then threaded into Merino, and he picked out the bottom corner with a lovely finish.

And Alex Murphy won't want to see the second goal back as a cross from the left comes into the box.

The young defender knows Bukayo Saka is behind him and lashes his clearance into the back of his own net.

Newcastle United are 1-0 up against Arsenal, and Anthony Elanga has his first goal in black and white.

The Toon have endured a difficult transfer window, with the winger the only first-team addition so far, but he's made a good start.

It's a good move down the right as Kieran Trippier and Sandro Tonali combine.

The latter picks out Elanga in the box, who hits the ball into his other foot, and it loops into the back of the net.

A bit lucky, but he won't care.

Viktor Gyokeres has had a busy weekend.

After completing an initial £55 million move from Sporting Lisbon to Arsenal, he has now flown halfway around the world to join his teammates.

The Swede is set to be presented to the Gunners' fans in Singapore this evening for their game against Newcastle United.

Gyokeres was videoed arriving at the stadium and was introduced to the fans before the game.

He'll now watch the match from the stands.

Liverpool are close to agreeing a deal with Bayern Munich to sell Luis Diaz, talkSPORT understands.

The final fee is expected to be just under £70million.

Diaz has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich over the last few weeks, with Liverpool rejecting a £58.5million bid.

The Reds have been strong in their stance that the Colombian is not for sale; however, that seems to have now changed.

Sarina Wiegman is looking to win a third consecutive Women's Euros on Sunday.

The England boss will lead her side out against Spain at St.

Jakob-Park in Basel.

A win would see the Lionesses become the first English senior side to win two major tournaments.

Their sole Euros crown is tied with the Three Lions' 1966 World Cup victory.

And they would be the first England senior side to win a major championship on foreign soil.

Despite being on the brink of history, Wiegman admits she does not know the secret to her own success.

Joao Felix is set to end his permanent spell with Chelsea after Al Nassr lodged a bid worth around £45million.

The Portugal star was the subject of an offer from former club Benfica, but the Saudi Pro League side have now outbid them.

Talks have advanced over the weekend, and Felix could now join his international captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, at Al Nassr.

The 25-year-old first joined the Blues on loan from Atletico Madrid in January 2023, making 16 Premier League appearances.

He then had a year-long spell at Barcelona, where he managed 10 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.

That inspired the Blues to swoop again last, this time in a £42million permanent switch, which saw him sign a seven-year contract in west London.

In the first half of the campaign, he played 20 times but was then loaned to AC Milan.

Viktor Gyokeres believes Arsenal are the 'right club' after completing his move to the Premier League.

The striker has returned to English football with the Gunners following a £63.7million deal from Sporting Lisbon.

The 27-year-old turned down the opportunity to reunite with former manager Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

The Portuguese giants had signed Gyokeres for Sporting in 2023, with the pair winning the league the following season.

Speaking to the club's official website, he explained: "I just felt that it was the right club for me.

"What I heard from Mikel and Andrea (Berta) when I was speaking with them, and just what I've seen in the past years, how they've been playing football.

"When I was playing against Arsenal last season [in the Champions League], I could really feel it was a very strong team and very difficult to play against.

"That made me choose Arsenal, and of course all the history the club has and the massive fanbase.

"It's been amazing to see all the support that they have already given me before I even arrived.

We welcome Viktor and his family to Arsenal.”

Viktor Gyokres has failed to contain his delight after sealing his switch to Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon.

He told the club's website: "I always want to score.

To be a part of this club and to score in this kit and with this badge in front of all the supporters, I can't wait.

9 since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January 2018.

Gyokeres has arrived in north London following two stunning seasons at Sporting, during which he scored 97 goals in 102 appearances.

A drawn-out transfer saga has finally concluded with Arsenal making their Premier League title ambitions clear with a statement arrival.

The Sweden international has penned a five-year deal at the Emirates.

He could now be in line for his debut against rivals Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong on Thursday.

Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson is reportedly in advanced talks over a return to Fulham.

The Gunners winger spent the 2024/25 season on loan at the Craven Cottage.

But according to The Athletic, discussions between the two clubs are at an advanced stage.

A loan deal with an option/obligation to buy is being discussed, as well as a permanent transfer.

It is believed that an agreement is close to see Nelson back in west London.

Nelson featured in 13 games for the Cottagers being suffering a season-ending hamstring injury in December.

Arsenal will announce the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres imminently.

It follows an enquiry from West Ham earlier in the window.

Chelsea value Dewsbury-Hall as a squad player, but he is not a name they are actively looking to sell.

An exit is possible at the right price though, however, it would need to be more than the £30m the Blues paid to Leicester.

Everton are reportedly set to win the race to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana.

Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked with an interest in the electric 20-year-old Belgian star, who is believed to be rated at €50million by the French club.

But Fabrizio Romano claims Everton are in advanced negotiations to sign him, with an official bid submitted and the clubs in direct talks.

The Toffees are said to be also discussing personal terms with the young whizkid's representatives, over what would be a major coup for the blue half of Merseyside ahead of their first season at the club's new stadium.

Tottenham have confirmed Dominic Solanke will sit out today's pre-season friendly against Luton due to injury.

Spurs take on the Hatters at Kenilworth Road, with kick-off set for 3pm.

But the north Londoners will be without their main striker due to a minor ankle injury.

His absence has been put down as only a precaution, though, so fans will be hoping it's not a serious issue as Thomas Frank build up to his first season as Tottenham boss.

Saudi Arabian officials believe Alexander Isak wants to join Liverpool, talkSPORT understands.

Al Hilal are interested in Isak but have not been given any encouragement from his camp that the Newcastle striker is open to the move.

Isak has told the Magpies he wants to explore an exit from St James Park after Liverpool signalled their willingness to pay a British record transfer for the Swedish star.

Al Hilal are also interested in Darwin Nunez, while the Reds remain in talks with Bayern Munich over Luis Diaz.

Selling Nunez and Diaz would help fund any official bid for Isak.

Contract talks between Isak and Newcastle broke down after he asked for a £300,000-a-week new deal, as exclusively revealed by talkSPORT.
