Speaking to the club's website, he said: "It feels like it has been a long-time coming - I’ve been linked with a move to the Club in the past - and I’m just happy to be here now.
“I spoke to Graham Potter and he was a big, big part of me making the decision.
From speaking to Graham, he wants to create something special, and hopefully I can be a part of that.”

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has revealed he left Alexander Isak out of the Toon's 4-0 defeat to Celtic for two reasons.
One was that the club are managing the forward's minutes after he struggled with a groin problem last season, and two, Howe felt it would be unfair to involve him, given the speculation about his future.
Liverpool made an approach for Isak earlier this week and told the Toon they were willing to pay £120 million for the striker.
However, Newcastle said Isak wasn't for sale, and the Reds are now closing on a deal for Hugo Ekitike.
Speaking after the game, Howe said: "It was my decision.
"He travelled back to Glasgow with us, but I decided to send him home due to the speculation around him.
"The last thing he wanted is to be sat in the stand watching, that wasn't fair to him.
"But I'm confident he will be a Newcastle player come the end of the window."

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has confirmed that Patrick Bamford's time at the club is over .
The striker was a key part of the Marcelo Bielsa Leeds sides and has been with the club since 2018 and has made over 200 appearances.
However, the two have decided it is time to part ways.
After a 0-0 draw against Manchester United, he said: "It was my duty to have a very honest conversation, and I told him he's not in my plans for the upcoming season.
"Just for the fact he had really difficult years, and for me, Patrick needs to be the main man.
"If he gets this, he will score goals.
"But to be honest, this isn't a perfect situation."

Are Newcastle United about to miss out another transfer target?
Craig Hope of the Daily Mail is reporting that the Toon are going to walk away from a deal for James Trafford.
Eddie Howe's men have been chasing the goalkeeper since last summer, but have been unable to agree a fee.
And now Manchester City are involved and have a buyback clause inserted into the contract.
They are considering triggering it should Stefan Ortega or Ederson leave.

Watford have confirmed that new signing Nestory Irankunda from Bayern Munich will wear the number 66 shirt.
This is his dad's birth year and the number he wore in the Adelaide academy.
Strangely, the Hornets had to ask the EFL for permission for Irankunda to wear the number.
This is because it is restricted by the EFL, which is odd.
But either way, his emotional reaction is brilliant.

Discussing his move, the midfielder remarked: "I think there is something to be said for a team that wants you and a club that really wants you.
It is a massive, massive football club similar to Newcastle in a lot of ways.
“It was going to take a lot for us to leave Newcastle to be honest and I wasn’t just going to leave to go anywhere so it had to be the right place for me and my family and I think this is a perfect place.
“I got to watch pretty much all the games and see a team that was really exciting to watch, athletic, really good on the ball.
“Every time I came to play at Leeds the atmosphere was amazing it was always bouncing and a really tough place to play and just looking forward to having that on my side rather than having to play against.”
