talkSPORT understands that Liverpool have rebuffed an attempt from Bayern Munich to open talks over Luis Diaz.

The Reds' view is that the Colombian isn't for sale after his vital contribution to the Premier League title win last year.

This is the second time Liverpool have rejected an offer from a team to sign him after Barcelona tried earlier in the summer.

Al Nassr are still interested, but it is likely to take a crazy bid for the Reds to consider selling Diaz.

Fulham have confirmed that right-back Kenny Tete has signed a new contract at the club.

talkSPORT understands that Everton held talks with the defender whose contract expired at the end of the season.

But the Toffees have missed out on their target, as he opted to stay at Craven Cottage instead of departing.

Speaking about his new deal, Tete said: "I'm really happy to have signed, for myself and for my family, and I hope I can give more for the fans in these three years.

"After my first year, I knew this was a family club, a really special club where I can develop.

"I want to be part of this group, and hopefully we can push for more."

Birmingham City are set to welcome back a former star.

talkSPORT reported at the weekend that Premier League title-winner Demarai Gray was ready to take a medical.

Now, he's completed that medical and the move back to his boyhood club will be formalised soon.

Gray's current club, Al Ettifaq, are awaiting Saudi Pro League approval before an official announcement follows.

The winger came through the Blues' academy and departed in 2016 to join Leicester, who then went on to win the top flight.

He also had spells at Bayer Leverkusen and Everton before heading to Saudi Arabia in 2023 - and now he's on his way back to Birmingham.

Carney Chukwuemeka will remain with Borussia Dortmund for the duration of their Club World Cup campaign.

Antoine Semenyo will be staying with the Cherries this summer despite interest from Premier League giants.

talkSPORT understands that the forward held talks with Tottenham and Manchester United before signing a new long-term contract at the Vitality Stadium.

It is understood that Semenyo has doubled his wage, moving from £50,000-per-week to £100,000 per week.

He will remain with Andoni Iraola's side in a major boost for the club following multiple other star players departing.

Semeyo said after his new contract was announced: “I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season.

“From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club.

Manchester United turned down the chance to sign Jhon Duran from Al Nassr on loan, talkSPORT understands.

Duran wanted his full Saudi salary covered during any loan spell, believed to be in the region of £340,000-a-week, following by an option to buy.

Man United decided not to proceed with any move due to the costs involved.

Duran, who only joined Al Nassr from Aston Villa in January, is set to complete a loan move to Fenerbahce.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.

The Spanish international joins after a successful loan spell with Bournemouth last year.

Kepa is the world's most expensive goalkeeper after joining Chelsea for £71.8 million in the summer of 2018.

However, Arsenal are only paying £5m for his signature, and he will most likely be the rotation goalkeeper, with David Raya the established number one.

Unsurprisingly, he is delighted to join Mikel Arteta's side.

Speaking to the club's website, he said: “I'm really, really happy to be here, really excited and looking forward to what is coming.

“The ambition that is shown in this club, when I talk with Mikel [Arteta] and Inaki [Cana], how much they show me their desire to win… I think we are so close to winning and, hopefully, altogether, we can achieve it.”

talkSPORT understands that Aston Villa have joined the race for Anthony Elanga.

Newcastle United are very keen on the Swedish international and have seen a bid worth £45 million turned down.

Nottingham Forest are seeking around £60m to part ways, and talks with the Toon continue.

However, after avoiding any panic PSR sales after selling their women's team, Villa are now contemplating a move for Elanga.

This isn't good news for Newcastle fans, who have seen their club miss out on Joao Pedro to Chelsea.

The Magpies had identified Pedro as one of their top targets, but after seeing an offer turned down, he has decided to join Chelsea.

West Ham have had a relatively quiet start to the transfer market, but they've seen an offer turned down as they look to bolster Graham Potter's squad.

Fabrizio Romano reports the Hammers have seen a bid for Slavia Prague's El Hadji Malick Diouf rejected.

Reports from Germany suggest that Arsenal have submitted an offer for Noni Madueke.

The Chelsea winger is being considered as a backup for Bukayo Saka, and the Gunners have apparently put in a bid.

talkSPORT understands that the two clubs have held talks, and Arsenal have spoken to Madueke's people.

The winger could see his game time drastically reduce this season if he stays at Stamford Bridge with the imminent arrivals of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

If Madueke were to leave, Chelsea would be looking for upwards of £45 million.

Wolves have confirmed they've turned Jorgen Strand Larsen's loan from Celta Vigo into a permanent deal.

The striker joined the Old Gold from the Spanish team last summer in a loan with obligation to buy if certain clauses were met.

And it appears those clauses were met, as Wolves have confirmed the forward has penned a deal until 2029 at Molineux in a move that will cost £23 million.

Larsen's debut top-flight campaign was very fruitful.

The striker scored 14 times for Vitor Pereira's men and will be looking to build on that this year.

If you are just waking up, you might be shocked to know that Manchester City have been dumped out of the Club World Cup.

The Citizens lost 4-3 to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal in the early hours of the morning.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring before a crazy second half sent the match to extra time.

Marcos Leonardo equalised for Simone Inzaghi's men before Malcolm put them into the lead.

Erling Haaland scored to make it 2-2, but it was soon 3-2 to Al Hilal as Kalidou Koulibaly crashed home a header.

Phil Foden came off the bench to equalise, but there was still time for Leonardo to score a late winner.
