Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel told DAZN: "It was unbelievable from Nicolas Jackson.
Your team needs you and you let them down.
"He did it in an important Premier League game at Newcastle when they were fighting for the Champions League places, and he has done it again."
Mikel added: "Nicolas Jackson needs to have a look at himself and think where he wants his Chelsea career to go from here.
"The manager has brought in a striker in Liam Delap, and now if the manager starts to doubt you, if he keeps making mistakes and letting his team-mates and the club down, then it is time for Delap to start the games.
"The manager has a decision to make now."

Touch of good fortune about it, as Gonzalo Plata's tame attempt at a shot hit his teammate on the heels inside the box and landed for him.
But Yan reacts quickly to stab the loose ball beyond Sanchez.

Paul Mullin is set to leave Wrexham to join Wigan Athletic, talkSPORT understands.
The club legend is in talks with Wigan ahead of a season-long loan move to remain in League One next season.
Mullin, who in four years at Wrexham has played a major part in their rise, will not fulfil his dream of playing in the Championship.
The striker has never played in the second tier, and despite his side reaching that level for the first time, he will play no part.
He instead joins a Wigan team that finished 15th in League One last season, 36 points behind the Red Dragons.
Manager Ryan Lowe will be hoping to bring in some more firepower after his side ended the campaign as the lowest scorers.
They only netted 40 goals across the entire third-tier season.
