Liverpool have officially confirmed their club record deal for Florian Wirtz.
The total package is worth £116.5million with £100m guaranteed after weeks of talks between the Reds and Bayer Leverkusen.
Wirtz underwent his medical on Friday, with the Reds now announcing his arrival at Anfield to take their summer spree already to £146m.
The deal eclipses the previous British transfer record of £115m that Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in August 2023.
Naturally, it also shatters the club record £85m Liverpool paid Benfica for Darwin Nunez in 2022.
Arne Slot's side have already brought in Wirtz's former Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong for £29.5m.
Wirtz told Liverpoolfc.com: “I feel very happy and very proud.
Safe travels and see you soon!"
Carroll then posted a simple response to the club on social media, writing to their official X account: "Je t'aime [I love you]."

Paul Mullin is set to leave Wrexham to join Wigan Athletic, talkSPORT understands.
The club legend is in talks with Wigan ahead of a season-long loan move to remain in League One next season.
Mullin, who in four years at Wrexham has played a major part in their rise, will not fulfil his dream of playing in the Championship.
The striker has never played in the second tier, and despite his side reaching that level for the first time, he will play no part.
He instead joins a Wigan team that finished 15th in League One last season, 36 points behind the Red Dragons.
Manager Ryan Lowe will be hoping to bring in some more firepower after his side ended the campaign as the lowest scorers.
They only netted 40 goals across the entire third-tier season.

Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano has labelled Lionel Messi the 'best player in this sport's history' after his heroics.
Messi scored a brilliant free-kick in Miami's historic 2-1 win over Porto in the Club World Cup.
Mascherano said post-match: "Beyond his goal...

Lionel Messi inspired Inter Miami to a 2-1 comeback victory over Porto at the Club World Cup with a signature stunning free-kick.
The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner scored the winner in the second half as the MLS side picked up their first victory of the tournament.
Javier Mascherano's men, who qualified as hosts by winning last year's MLS Supporters' Shield, were held to a goalless draw by Al Ahly in their opener on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a win for Palmeiras earlier on Thursday left both sides keen for a victory to bolster their qualification hopes.
It was Porto who appeared set to put one foot into the last 16, though, as they took the lead early in the first half.
Samu Omorodion opened the scoring after just eight minutes as he converted a penalty for the Portuguese side.
The two-time European champions remained in front for the remainder of the first half, with Messi and his teammates unable to get any kind of foothold in the game.
However, Mascherano's half time team-talk had the desired effect as his side wasted no time following the restart.
Telasco Segovia levelled just two minutes into the second 45 minutes before Messi unleashed the magic at the Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The 37-year-old produced a trademark effort as he curled a spectacular free-kick past Claudio Ramos in the Porto goal.
