The Manchester United skipper is believed to be consulting with his family before making final decision.
The Red Devils are not publicly ruling out selling their talismanic playmaker, but yet to receive an offer.
Fernandes' agent, Miguel Pinho, held talks with Al-Hilal on Thursday and the United captain has been offered a contract worth £65million-a-year.
Discussions, described by Hilal sources as 'productive', took place at the Four Seasons in Riyadh, and talks ran into the evening.
Hilal asked earlier in the week for an answer by Thursday as they look to firm up marquee signings ahead of the Club World Cup.

Supporters spotted that El Khannouss had put 'LCFC' in his Instagram bio for the first time during his time at the Foxes.
And on top of that, the Moroccan also posted a compilation of his highlights with the caption 'Hungry for more'.
It has swirled rumours that he could end up remaining at Leicester despite their relegation to the Championship.
One fan wrote: "El Khannouss just added LCFC to his bio after never having it in there, and just posted a video saying ‘hungry for more’.
Could he be staying?"
"Hate looking into stuff like this, but that being said, we are winning the league again," a third joked.

Mitchell will leave his position at Newcastle United on June 30, having only replaced Dan Ashworth last July.
He is understood to have made a three-person shortlist, but Hilal could delay any appointment until a new manager is first in place.
The Saudi club are optimistic Inter boss Simone Inzaghi will join in time for their Club World Cup opener against Real Madrid on June 18.
They have been unable to advance talks due to the Champions League Final, but they expect an answer from Inzaghi in the next 72 hours.
Michael Edwards is another candidate for the role and Al-Hilal have approached Liverpool's chief executive of football, even though he is happy in his current role and made it clear he is not looking to leave.

The Saudi side are expected to have a busy ten days in the 1-10 June window as they seek signings ahead of the Club World Cup.
talkSPORT understands Fernandes is giving the offer serious consideration, but that his family still needs some convincing.
Man United still insist they don't want to lose their captain and are yet to receive any contact or bid from Al Hilal.
Hilal's attention could instead turn to Aston Villa's Youri Tielemans if Fernandes turns down a move.
They are also looking at Atlanta's Ederson and Inter's Nicola Barella as they also hope to add a central or defensive midfielder in addition, while a striker remains a key priority.
Victor Osimhen is the main target, and it is understood the Nigerian striker is open to a move to Saudi Arabia.
