Liverpool may have found the perfect partner as they look to develop a multi-club network.
According to The Times, LaLiga side Getafe has 'come under consideration' from the Reds.
The report adds the search has been conducted by FSG's chief executive of football Michael Edwards, FSG technical director Julian Ward and director of football development Pedro Marques.
Liverpool previously held an interest in French club Bordeaux but pulled out of talks last July.
Bordeaux later fell into bankruptcy and were demoted to the fourth tier of French football.
The Reds also looked at Spanish club Malaga, but a deal never progressed.
As for Getafe, they are an established LaLiga club and have maintained a spot in the Spanish top-flight for the last eight seasons.

Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is being linked with a departure from the City Ground.
The 24-year-old former Chelsea prospect is attracting interest from Manchester United, Roma and Napoli, and Gabby Agbonlahor thinks he should be targeting Serie A.
"Why would you go to Man United when you've seen so many players go there and have their careers ruined?" the talkSPORT Breakfast host pondered.
"I wouldn't go there, I'd go to Napoli if it was me, look at [Scott] McTominay, [Billy] Gilmour, why not?
