Paul Gascoigne was rushed to hospital on Friday night after collapsing at home.

The England icon was found semi-conscious in the bedroom of his home by a friend in Poole, Dorset, The Sun reports.

Gascoigne, who is best known in English club football for his spell at Tottenham Hotspur, was swiftly admitted to an intensive care unit before being moved to an acute medical unit.

His condition is now said to be stable and he's understood to be out of immediate danger as of Saturday night.

However, it's understood he will remain in hospital for some time.

The friend who discovered him, Steve Foster, has been quoted saying 'Gazza' would “like to thank everyone for the support he’s received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best.”

Foster added: “Paul is in hospital, which is the best possible place for him to be right now.”

Josh Windass is edging closer to completing his move to Wrexham.

The 31-year-old will undergo a medical with the newly-promoted Championship side on Monday, talkSPORT understands.

It comes after the Red Dragons agreed personal terms with Windass.

Wrexham had faced competition for his signature from Coventry and Norwich.

However, both sides appear to have failed with their attempts to hijack the deal.

Windass is a free agent after leaving Sheffield Wednesday by mutual agreement earlier this month.

During five years with the Owls, the midfielder scored 53 goals in 182 appearances for the club.

He is now set to become Phil Parkinson's fourth summer signing ahead of Wrexham's return to the second tier.

Perry Groves has tipped Max Dowman to break into the first-team this season.

The 15-year-old has yet to make his competitive Arsenal debut.

However, he has been included in the squad for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Groves told The Sunday Session: "The only thing that stops Max Dowman from getting to what I would say the elite level and in Arsenal's first team, it'd be one of two things.

"Either he gets a bad injury or it will be his attitude because he has everything.

"I know I hadn't seen a player that good at 15, and obviously going away with the first team, he'll be integrated there, then he'll come out, he'll play for the under-21s, then he'll come out, then you can bet your life in the Carabao Cup.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he develops on the path that they think he's going to do, that he'll be on the bench for Arsenal in the next probably three or four months."

Newcastle United endured a pretty miserable afternoon on Saturday as they lost 4-0 to Celtic.

But one of the main talking points was the club's new graphics.

Rather than having the score in numerical style, the Toon had it written out, which drew plenty of criticism from fans.

And now Sussex County Cricket Club have taken their own dig at the idea.

They are currently playing a T20 against Gloucestershire, and at the end of their innings, they posted their score as words and tagged Newcastle.

talkSPORT reporter Ben Jacobs understands that Josh Windass has agreed terms with Wrexham.

The striker has just left Sheffield Wednesday after he and Michael Smith had their contracts terminated by mutual consent.

This follows more disruption off the field for the Owls, with players contractually allowed to move on after not being paid.

And the 31-year-old looks to be heading to Wrexham.

However, Norwich City and Coventry City are trying to hijack the deal for a player who scored 46 goals in 163 games for Wednesday.

talkSPORT understands that Manchester United have not made a bid for Viktor Gyokeres.

Reports in Portugal emerged this morning suggesting that the Red Devils were close to agreeing a fee for the Swedish striker.
