After some stunning updates on Friday, Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Florian Wirtz.
Wirtz had been expected to join Bayern Munich this summer after a long courtship from the German champions.
However, Liverpool have swooped in and are aiming to close a club record deal for the 22-year-old.
With things progressing quickly between the Reds and Bayer Leverkusen, journalist Fabrizio Romano has issued an exciting message for Reds supporters.

Rewind to Thursday, and Liverpool signing Wirtz had been little more than a pie in the sky dream for supporters.
But after the Reds made a breakthrough on Friday, it now looks inevitable that the German will be joining current teammate Jeremie Frimpong at Anfield.

And according to Romano, Liverpool and Leverkusen were in ‘constant contact’ across a Saturday in which the transfer was brought ever closer.
“At this time, Saturday night, I think Liverpool fans can be confident, because a deal is advancing very well,” the journalist told Men In Blazers.

“Today was 24 hours of constant contacts between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen who have a very good relationship.
“It’s now about structuring the package because it’s for sure going to be more than 100 million Euros,” Romano adds.
Everything has been agreed between Wirtz and Liverpool.”
Wirtz is of course not the only signing Liverpool are trying to make from Bayer Leverkusen at the moment.
But after reports that Frimpong had completed his medical last week, things have gone a little quiet on the case of Liverpool’s new right-back.
According to Romano, though, there is nothing to worry about for Reds supporters.
The transfer expert even suggested the reason for the delay in Frimpong’s official announcement could be because a joint declaration with Wirtz is in the works.
“It’s happening, the here we go is confirmed,” Romano said.
The player already had his medical in England, it’s a five-year contract, everything is agreed.
“The same clubs are advancing in the conversation for Wirtz and this is probably why in the timing there is going to be some sort of discussion for the announcement and all the rest, but for sure Liverpool in conversation with Bayer Leverkusen and have a very good relationship.”
