Chelsea will inflict further sack pressure on Ruben Amorim if they defeat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Amid Man United’s poor start to the new season, Marcus Rashford revealed that he can feel the confidence that Hansi Flick has given him since his move to Barcelona, which is a stark contrast to the relationship he had with Amorim.

The Red Devils have enjoyed just one win in four attempts in the Premier League so far this term, having finished just 15th in the top flight last term.

After the Red Devils’ heavy defeat in the Manchester Derby, Man United fans called for Amorim to be sacked.

The Old Trafford club’s chances of winning silverware this term were badly damaged when they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by League Two club Grimsby Town last month.

Chelsea have plenty of weapons who can continue Amorim’s misery and place his job under even greater threat.

Star man Cole Palmer has his swagger back and his ready to explode.

If the Brazil international further strengthens his record against Amorim’s men and leads Chelsea to victory, it will take the 40-year-old closer to the sack.

While the Red Devils know all about Pedro’s threat, preventing the 23-year-old from scoring against them will be easier said than done, thanks to his rich vein of form in the Premier League.

The former Brighton man has more direct goal contributions in the top flight this season than any other player, with two goals and three assists in four appearances.

He was also in scintillating form for Chelsea in their triumphant Club World Cup run, notching three goals in as many appearances in the competition.

Meanwhile, Man United have already conceded seven goals in the Premier League this season, while their defensive frailties were laid bare when they were thrashed 3-0 by Man City.

Pedro will be confident of earning goal-scoring opportunities against defenders like Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw, who have not enjoyed a strong start to the season.

Chelsea need the Brazilian to be at his best as they vie to get back to winning ways following their Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.
