Liverpool have some serious talents at the club, and some might just go to the very top.
Monday night was a far from quiet evening, with all the talk being about who would win the Ballon d’Or, the trophy that ends the debate over who is the best in the world, or at least it is supposed to.
However, despite their phenomenal season, Liverpool left the ceremony empty handed, with Mohamed Salah the one who was most likely to pick up an award.
The Egyptian perhaps knew he was not going to win, though, as he did not even turn up on the evening, with it now looking like he will never get his hands on the trophy.

When a young player breaks out, there are always comparisons to other former legends or they are often tipped to win the biggest of trophies, but nine times out of 10, this never happens.
However, with Rio Ngumoha it feels a little different, with the 17-year-old simply staying grounded and working hard.
These are the exact traits needed to succeed at this level and at his age, with his former coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst knowing he would succeed at a very young age.

He also predicted that one day he would win the Ballon d’Or, something that certainly is not impossible given the promise he has.
“He is a phenomenal talent.
Bearing in mind we are at one of the best academies in world football, he was an outlier,” Isaksson-Hurst told the Daily Mail.

“You knew even at eight years old he had a bright, bright future ahead of him.
But at the big clubs you see the outliers even at an early age.
“I used to joke to his brother, ‘This guy is golden, he’s going to win the Ballon d’Or’.
I don’t take it lightly, I coached one of the best talents in football.
Ngumoha once said he believed he would win the Ballon d’Or, and based on how everyone raves about him, it would not be a surprise to see him pick it up one day.
