Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk will all be out of contract in a year's time and Liverpool will be reluctant to let the trio enter the final 12 months of their deals.

Phillips, who started the season at Celtic, has not featured for the Reds since appearing as a substitute in the FA Cup win over Wolves in January 2023.
He admits he doesn't know what the future holds past the end of this campaign.
"There's a lot of change going on at Liverpool so there's a lot up in the air there," he said recently (via Wales Online).
It is unclear if promotion back to the Premier League would alter Leeds' transfer plans.
