The fierce rivalry between Liverpool and Everton goes on and it almost always throws up a huge talking point when they meet.
The Merseyside derby is one of the oldest and most common in football, with the tension between the two always rife.
However, for the Reds, their superiority has been evident for quite some time, with their 20 league titles just rubbing that fact in.
Liverpool look set to increase the gap in quality between the two as well, with their transfer window nothing short of spectacular.
Losing key players will have to happen to ensure the Reds keep improving and Andy Robertson might be a player set to depart as he enters the twilight of his career.
But, one former Everton defender may be about to block his transfer plans and cause him to see out his contract at Anfield, which expires next summer.

Only recently has Robertson’s future been in doubt as Atletico Madrid registered their interest in signing him, with the Scotsman keen on the move.
Now 31, the left-back may feel he has run his course at Anfield following a poor campaign, as well as likely becoming second choice when Milos Kerkez arrives.

However, as reported by Paul Joyce from The Times, the Spanish club are also keen on Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne if they cannot get the Scotsman this summer.
Atletico reportedly want Robertson for as little as £4.2m, but ideally would like him for free – something they feel Liverpool might allow given his service to the club.

As for Digne, he is also entering the final year of his contract and Simeone is said to be impressed by his attacking output, while also being solid defensively.
It is clear that Atletico want a cheaper and slightly more experienced full-back to join the club this summer, but Robertson might be denied a dream move if an agreement cannot be reached.
Robertson has the same agent as Trent Alexander-Arnold, this being the Englishman’s brother, and this may cause Liverpool fans to get their backs up against the wall and insist that he should not be allowed to leave on a free transfer.
However, given what the 31-year-old has done and achieved at the club during his eight-year stay, it might be best if the club just let him go as a thank you.
He has won it all, left everything on the pitch every game and never once expressed his desire to leave, with it safe to say he will go down as a bit of a legend at the club.
It may not be ideal but with a year left on his contract, the transfer fee would be very minimal anyway, suggesting that just letting him go on good terms would be the most beneficial.
