Former Liverpool CEO, Peter Moore, returned to watch the Reds win the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday evening as they beat Chelsea in a penalty shootout.

Moore stepped down as CEO at Anfield in 2020, but the Liverpool fan has always supported the club and posted messages of encouragement on social media.

The former Liverpool man was named Premier League CEO of the year in 2019 when the Reds won the title after creating the Peter Moore foundation where he raised money for causes around the city.

This time, the hero was Kostas Tsimikas as the left-back was substituted on in extra time and he slotted the winning penalty after Alisson Becker brilliantly saved the spot kick of Mason Mount.

In a game that saw both Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk substituted off due to injury concerns, Sadio Mane had the chance to win it for Liverpool with the fifth penalty, but it was saved by fellow countryman Edouard Mendy.

Liverpool have now won all major honours available under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp and have the chance to make it a season where they lift three trophies as they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris at the end of May.
