?Former ?Liverpool striker John Aldridge has said that manager Jurgen Klopp should be allowed to have a quiet transfer window and trust his decisions, even though he himself believes the squad needs strengthening in a few week areas.

I’m not sure Liverpool would have the back-up performers to plug that gap, but finding players of that quality to sit on the bench in reserve would be no easy task.” It is very unlikely that a club like Liverpool would be willing to throw money at players just on the off chance that some of their first team players might get injured, but if an opportunity opens up for a quality player for a reasonable price, Klopp would certainly like to add one or two.

Although most top clubs are bringing in a number of players to strengthen their squads, Liverpool have not made any moves in the current transfer just yet, with Klopp seemingly content with the team that he has.

He told the Irish Independent: “Jurgen Klopp appears to be ready to hand Liverpool’s youthful talent a chance to shine in his first team rather than signing big money players this summer and he has earned the right to be backed in this bold decision.

Aldridge believes that the team still needs a few players to strengthen it, but is willing to give the benefit of doubt to the manager after the way they performed in the previous campaign on their way to winning the Champions League.

Imagine a scenario that sees Salah and Mane out for three or four months.

“The big concern would be what happens if one or two of his front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are out for an extended period.
