Former Liverpool midfielder Nuri Sahin has been named the new head coach of Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir - and has already won his first match in charge.
It comes a few months on from a brutal sacking from his previous club.
Sahin, 37, had been at the helm of German giants Borussia Dortmund from the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign, being promoted from assistant coach under previous boss Edin Terzic.
Although he had the club qualify for the Champions League's knockout stage play-offs come January, they were 10th in the Bundesliga and on a run of four defeats in five matches.
Dortmund chose to sack him there and then, leaving the former player jobless for the remainder of last season.

Sahin was also unable to secure a new post before the new term began, though the former Turkish international's search has come to an end with Istanbul Basaksehir handing him control at the beginning of this week.
They were winless in their opening three matches of the Turkish Super Lig campaign, but Sahin instantly remedied that, leading his new side to a 2-0 away win at Fatih Karagumruk.
His coaching career started in 2021 - the same year he called an end to his 16-year playing career.
During that time, Sahin played for six clubs including Liverpool.
The Reds beat Arsenal to the midfielder's signing on loan from Real Madrid for the 2012/13 campaign.
"I spoke with him and asked him why I was playing there.
"It is not my real position.
So I had to adjust with my position - and this was the only thing.
"Everything else, I really enjoyed during my time at Liverpool.
"It's a fantastic club and under Brendan I enjoyed every training session with him.
"It was very ball-oriented, ball possession and playing in the opponent's half.
