Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders has urged Jurgen Klopp to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen this summer.

The Danish star has been linked with a move away from Spurs throughout the summer with Real Madrid and Manchester United reportedly sniffing around.

Saunders thinks that Liverpool should seize the opportunity, and make a move for the Danish star, but a potential deal looks incredibly unlikely.

But with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from injuries, it’s highly unlikely Klopp will be willing to splash a nine-figure sum on a player.

“[Liverpool] could spend the budget maybe, I think Christian Eriksen could slot into Liverpool’s team – somebody like Eriksen,” he told talkSPORT.

“That type of player who will make their midfield a bit more productive.” It’s fair to say that the Reds are lacking a bit of creativity in midfield.

As per the Metro, the La Liga giants were interested in Eirksen but have now cooled their jets, and the Red Devils are now thinking of trying to thrash out a bumper deal.
