Jamie Redknapp maintains his belief that the Premier League title race will go down to the wire, despite recent defeats for both Liverpool and Arsenal.
Liverpool’s hopes for the league title took a hit as Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze scored the only goal at Anfield, securing a surprising away win for the Eagles.
Despite several close attempts from Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Curtis Jones, the Reds couldn’t find the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Manchester City’s dominant 5-1 victory over Luton Town on Saturday allowed Pep Guardiola’s side to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League by two points.
In a parallel disappointment for the title contenders, Arsenal failed to respond to City’s triumph, suffering a 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
After the game, Klopp said: “The first half was absolutely not good enough.
“We showed a reaction second half.
We concede the goal, which is a horrible goal.
“We controlled the second half better?
It was horrible to watch.
“That’s how humans react sometimes.
He said: “For me it is the best title race, this one just feels extra special.
“I have a feeling it might go down to goal difference.
It’s going to be an amazing end to the season.”
