Trent Alexander-Arnold's future at Liverpool remains uncertain.

Approaching May, the timer is ticking down and just two months now remain on Alexander-Arnold's contract and he will be able to move for free should an agreement over a new deal not be reached before the end of the season.

Real Madrid are likely to renew their interest in signing the full-back in the summer after their move on the eve of the January transfer window was rejected by Liverpool, although Reds chiefs remain hopeful that an agreement can be reached to keep the player at his boyhood club.

Both Mohamed Salah and captain Virgil van Dijk recently signed new deals to stay in weeks building up to Sunday's Premier League title party, with Anfield experiencing jubilant scenes after Arne Slot's team secured a 20th league title by beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1.

In the aftermath, several clues have emerged over what discussions have taken place within the corridors at Anfield surrounding Alexander-Arnold's future.

Here, the Liverpool ECHO has taken a look at some of them...

Linda Pizzuti, the wife of Reds' principal owner John Henry, and her latest interactions with Liverpool supporters would appear to hint towards more twists and turns in the Alexander-Arnold saga.

"Pitch celebration on winning the Premier League with supporters, at Anfield.

Thank you, Liverpool [love heart emoji]," Pizzuti wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday evening UK time.

In the post itself she shared a slideshow of different photos from Sunday at Anfield, with three giving focus to her and Henry's interactions with Alexander-Arnold, Salah and Van Dijk.

One supporter in the comment section picked up on this whilst another simply hinted towards Henry being deep in discussion with the full-back, to which she replied to both with the side eye emoji.

This is just the latest in a line of clues left over Alexander-Arnold's unresolved future over the past days...

Alexander-Arnold had his own heartfelt message to send to supporters in the aftermath of beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 and the celebrations that followed.

Sharing five images celebrating on the pitch and in the dressing room, he dedicated the title to the people as he wrote: “For the City.

For the Fans [love heart emoji]."

His bond remains strong despite all the uncertainty that looms over the next months.

The defender had also been posting throughout Sunday night, being one of the main culprits giving supporters a look into how the title party continued into the Liverpool dressing room at Anfield.

He and his colleagues could be heard singing along to GALA’s 1997 hit ‘Freed From Desire’ which has become something of an unofficial football anthem in recent years.

His passion for this team and club is abundantly clear in the footage that was shared.

"Now with Mo and Virgil staying – and hopefully Trent as well – then you can keep building on that team for many years to come," teammate Cody Gakpo admitted in conversation with LFCTV after supporters had vacated Anfield.

This was one of the primary comments to suggest Alexander-Arnold's future is not set in stone despite the expectations around a summer switch to Real - and that he is yet to communicate his plans to his teammates over what he will be doing either way.
