The summer transfer has only just opened and Liverpool could have a rather busy few days ahead.

The window opened on Sunday, which now give the Reds the chance to make changes to their squad ahead of next season.

Thanks to the FIFA Club World Cup taking place in the United States this summer, the transfer window will remain open until June 10 before closing for almost a week.



The window will reopen on June 16 for the rest of the summer, but Liverpool, it seems, are looking to get some of their business done early.

Jeremie Frimpong has already been signed after Liverpool agreed to pay the £29.5million release clause in the defender's contract.

Liverpool will also sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia this summer after a deal was agreed last year.

The goalkeeper will officially become a Reds player on July 1.

With a little over a week until the transfer window briefly closes once again, Liverpool could have a busy few days ahead.

The Reds have already had a £109million bid rejected by Bayer Leverkusen for the Germany international, with talks continuing between the two clubs.

Neither Liverpool nor Leverkusen want negotiations to drag on, with the Reds seeking a swift resolution to the talks over a deal to sign Wirtz.
