Marc Guehi could leave Crystal Palace this summer with his contract winding down(Image: Rob Newell/Getty Images)
Liverpool remain keen on landing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace but do not agree with their £40million valuation given he is available for nothing come next summer.
However Guehi has no desire to sign a new deal in south London and could leave for free in 12 months.
It would represent a huge loss for Palace, who turned down the chance to land £65m from Newcastle when they chased Guehi last summer.
If Liverpool are to move for the defender then it will revolve solely around the price being quoted.
The Reds have already spent £200m this summer but are keen on making additions to their defence.
They have allowed Jarell Quansah to leave for Bayer Leverkusen this summer and, as things stand, Ibrahima Konate is out of contract next summer and has shown little interest in signing a new deal.

He is thought to be keen on a move to Real Madrid.
However landing Guehi to partner the Dutchman could prove a huge coup for the Premier League champions.
