Bradley would have had more reason than most to be disappointed at Klopp leaving his post at the end of the season.

The German was clearly a huge fan of the academy graduate.



Having given Bradley his debut and put trust in him for a chunk of last season, Klopp would no doubt have seen the Northern Irishman as a big part of the squad moving forward.

Given how good Bradley was in the first-team when given a chance, it’s likely that Slot will have the same feeling.

If the new boss does move Trent Alexander-Arnold into midfield, Bradley could even find himself as Liverpool’s first choice right-back next season.

So, perhaps it’s little surprise that when asked about Slot’s arrival by the Belfast Telegraph, Bradley was enthusiastic about the prospect of ‘massive change’ under incoming coach.

“I’m looking forward to it,” said the 20-year-old.

“There will be new ideas and fresh faces and hopefully it will go well and we can get off to a good start.”

What Slot decides to do with Alexander-Arnold is going to be one of the most fascinating aspects of his early time at Liverpool.

With Trent set for a midfield role with England at Euro 2024, the Scouser could cement himself in Slot’s thinking in a more advanced position.

That would leave the door open for Bradley to stride through.

Another thing that could help to make up Slot’s mind is that he’ll be working with Bradley from day one at Anfield.

The youngster is not involved in the summer internationals and as a result will be back in training from the beginning of pre-season.

If he can convince Slot of his quality, then maybe Bradley can hand the 45-year-old his Alexander-Arnold answer ahead of the No.66 even returning.
