Liverpool are busy gearing up for their return to Premier League action as their title defence continues.
The Reds will take on Newcastle United in the Monday Night Football as they make the trip to St James' Park.
Arne Slot's side go into the game having claimed a 4-2 win over Bournemouth in their first match of the new season.
However, the Liverpool head coach is being forced to deal with some injury concerns within the first few weeks of the campaign.
Slot spoke to reporters on Thursday in his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool's clash against Newcastle.
The Reds head coach provided several injury and squad updates as they prepare for the trip to Tyneside.

Here, the ECHO takes a look at the latest Liverpool injury and suspension news ahead of the Premier League clash against Newcastle.
Jeremie Frimpong suffered a hamstring injury during Liverpool's 4-2 win over Bournemouth on the opening day.
Frimpong was substituted on the hour mark during the victory over the Cherries.
Slot confirmed that Frimpong is not expected to return until after the international break, meaning an away trip to Burnley could be his first fixture back in the squad.
"The medical team were completely right about Jeremie to tell me that I had to take him off [vs Bournemouth] because he is out until the end of the international break, and that happened during the game," Slot told reporters on Thursday.
Expected return date: Burnley (A) - September 14
Joe Gomez has emerged as a potential fitness doubt for Liverpool this week.
Gomez made a long-awaited return from injury to feature against Bournemouth last week with a late cameo.
Slot has confirmed that Gomez has missed three days worth of training but is hopeful of having the defender available to face Newcastle.
"Joe Gomez is definitely one of them, but for him to already play 20 minutes - that is already quite a lot," said Slot.
"I wouldn't say he has had a setback, but he wasn't able to train three days in a row completely with the team, which is completely normal when you have been out for so long and all of a sudden the manager needs you for 20 minutes.
"He is training with the team, so let's see where he is on Monday and if he can be involved with the team or even start."
Expected return date: Newcastle (A) - August 25
Conor Bradley has returned to team training after recovering from an injury he suffered during pre-season.
However, as of Friday, the right-back had only taken part in one session.
A decision will have to be made to see if Bradley is available to face Newcastle.
