It seems that Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen could be in contact with one another for a few deals this summer.

Jeremie Frimpong has completed his medical and is due to be announced as a Liverpool player imminently.

Meanwhile, all Liverpool fans are now aware of all the speculation growing with Florian Wirtz and a potential summer deal.

Wirtz is expected to decide his future within ten days, with Liverpool and Bayern Munich all in contention for his signature.

The Reds have made a strong push, hosting Wirtz and his family for talks and preparing a record-breaking £126.5 million bid.

With Manchester City out of the race, the battle is now primarily between Liverpool and Bayern, though Leverkusen hope to keep the German international for another season.

But it seems that Bayer Leverkusen are likewise looking at what gems they can take off of the Anfield club.

German outlet Fussball Transfers have claimed that Die Werkself are looking at youngsters from the Premier League, and Harvey Elliott is one of them

It is claimed that the Bundesliga side have a 200-million-euro war chest to spend, and could look to use some of it on English shores:

“With Harvey Elliott (22/Liverpool FC) and James McAtee (22/Manchester City), two candidates from the Premier League are also on the list,” Luca Hansen reports.

Harvey Elliott, who started just two Premier League games this season, admitted he must “do what’s best for my career” after a campaign yielding only 821 minutes across all competitions.

The 22-year-old looked emotional after the defeat against Brighton on Monday, and hinted that it may be time to move on post-match:

“I think I’ve done it this season.

I’m here at the moment and I’m focusing on the final game.”

While it would be sad to see Elliott go, there’s a lot more worse places to end up than Bayer Leverkusen.
