Liverpool have reportedly reportedly established contact with one Spanish attacker they have been linked with for a while now.
The Reds have been linked with several players this summer.
Some have already walked through the doors at Anfield–Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi.
Meanwhile, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are expected to join them in the coming days, as Liverpool have already secured deals for them.
Interest also exists in Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko, while interest in Alexander Isak has recently resurfaced.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, “Liverpool are ready to shatter the British transfer record for a second time in quick succession as they remain determined to sign Isak if he is genuinely available.”
According to the report, the Reds “are prepared to lodge an offer worth £100million plus add-ons, which would see the overall package surpass the figure agreed with Bayer Leverkusen for Wirtz.”
Apart from Isak and the aforementioned duo of Ekitike and Sesko, Liverpool have been linked with other attackers in the last couple of days, including Malick Fofana and Jesus Rodriguez.
The Reds are said to have reportedly begun talks with his agents, amid serious interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Another Liverpool-linked player that is attracting serious interest from a Premier League rival is Rodriguez.
Liverpool scouts have been watching Rodriguez for some time now?
The 19-year-old has caught the eye of elite scouts this season after being introduced into Manuel Pellegrini’s first team in October.
However, a recent report by Fabrizio Romano revealed that Aston Villa have begun club-to-club talks with Real Betis over signing him.
A new report in Spain has confirmed Romano’s Aston Villa claim, but also added that Liverpool have also made contact with the player’s camp.
According to ABC Sevilla, Liverpool and Aston Villa are both keen on the 19-year-old, and both clubs have been in contact to sign Real Betis youngster.
Rodriguez made his Real Betis debut last October. He scored five goals and picked up four assists last season.
The 19-year-old has a €25 million release clause in his contract, and he could prove to be a bargain at that price.
He has the tools to develop into a top-class Premier League attacker with the right guidance.
