Liverpool have recently done some shopping at Eintracht Frankfurt amid the latest links coming out of Turkey.

From Turkey: Liverpool “intensifies scouting” of Eintracht Frankfurt striker

The club forked over £69 million (potentially rising to £79 million) for Hugo Ekitike, with the Frenchman making a bright start to his Anfield career notching two goals and providing one assist in his first four Premier League appearances for the Reds.

Sporting director Richard Hughes as defended the summer spree that includes the likes of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz by saying this week:

“We pay what we believe to be fair market value for a player based on age and based on necessity of that individual to fit into the squad.”

“In the fullness of time, we hope that, instead of talking now about what a huge fee it is, it has been value for money for the football club whenever we’re making that assessment in the future.”

The Reds recruitment team has already showed their prowess this summer, and now a Turkish report is claiming that Liverpool are “intensifying their scouting” on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Can Uzun.

The 19-year-old has had a stunning start to the season, where he netted four goals and laid on three assists in just five appearances across all competitions.

Uzun also opened his Champions League account with a bang, scoring on his debut for Frankfurt in a 5-1 demolition of Galatasaray this week.

The teenager is also already a Turkish international since March this year, having gone on to earn three caps in total.

It is claimed that Uzun is “aware” of the burgeoning interest but is focused on his development.
