Tyrique George is in the sights of both Fulham and Crystal Palace after Chelsea received a bid for his services ahead of the transfer deadline.
George’s future at Chelsea has been uncertain towards the end of this summer window as the club look to continue bolstering their attacking ranks.
Former scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in April that Chelsea were planning to offer George a new long-term contract, and he was expected to remain at Stamford Bridge for the 2025/26 campaign [The Mail] after being taken to the Club World Cup.
Chelsea are progressing in a move to sign Alejandro Garnacho before the deadline on Monday (1 September), however, and so the 19-year-old looks increasingly likely to move on with a number of clubs interested.
Roma are seeking to sign George, with the Blues open to a permanent sale, but he could also be set to stay in the Premier League as both the Cottagers and the Eagles eye a move.

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, via X (29 August), Fulham and Crystal Palace are believed to be keeping an eye on George’s exit situation at Stamford Bridge.
He also states that Serie A side Roma have made an offer to sign the Chelsea winger, while German giants Bayern Munich like him and are known to have previously explored a loan move.

Chelsea’s preference is reportedly a permanent deal for George to leave the club for good, but it remains unclear whether Roma have offered money to sign him or want a temporary switch.
Football Insider verdict
George’s breakthrough into Enzo Maresca’s squad last season was something that has become an increasing rarity at Chelsea over the last few years, with their focus on achieving success meaning the pathway to the first-team has been largely blocked for academy players.
He impressed in his maiden season in the Blues’ senior set-up, but clearly not enough for the clubs chiefs to think he is worthy of retaining for next season or beyond, and their return to the Champions League means emerging stars like the 19-year-old are unlikely to get a look in over their array of imported attacking talent.

Garnacho’s impending arrival will push George even further down the pecking order, and so an exit seems like the wisest thing for him and his career with more game-time likely at a lower Premier League side like Fulham or Palace, or even abroad in Italy.
Similarly to Chelsea, Bayern’s status means they have a tendency to prefer players who are the finished article rather than those developing, but he would probably still be likely to get more game-time there than at Stamford Bridge, so should consider the move but give priority to those who say they will play him every week.
