Fulham have reached an agreement to sign a Chelsea winger on deadline day although the deal could unravel at the 11th hour.

Marco Silva‘s side are still yet to sign a first-teamer, with Benjamin Lecomte the only arrival for the Whites so far this window.

However, that all seems set to change on deadline day, with three deals in the works for the West London side.

Samuel Chukwueze has jetted in from AC Milan to undergo a medical, whilst Fulham are still pursuing a deal for Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk.

And having been linked with a couple of their players this summer, the Whites have agreed a deal to sign a Chelsea forward.

David Ornstein reported on X that Fulham have agreed to sign Tyrique George in a deal worth £22million, which will also contain a sell-on clause.

A five-year contract has been agreed for the 19-year-old who has just been called up to Lee Carsley’s England Under-21 squad.

Fulham had previously been linked with a move for Raheem Sterling, but have instead pursued a move for Chelsea’s younger English left-winger.

However, BBC Sport reports that RB Leipzig have enquired about George to the Blues, although they are at a much earlier stage with the deal than the Whites currently find themselves, with no agreement in place of any kind.

Football Insider Verdict

In a frustrating, but perhaps slightly unsurprising turn of events, given how this window has gone so far, George’s move to Craven Cottage may be reactionary, rather than proactive.

Kevin has been the top choice for Silva in the latter stages of the summer, and a club-record deal of £34.6m had been reached to sign the 22-year-old.

The Brazilian winger has undergone a medical with Fulham, but there is still no agreement on personal terms between the player and club.

Sky Sports report that Sporting CP are now showing an interest in Kevin as they pursue a replacement for Conrad Harder, who is set to join Leipzig.

Unfortunately for Fulham, the Portuguese side can offer Champions League football to the young winger, and the ability to move to a top team that communicates in his native tongue.
