Marco Silva could finally bring Raheem Sterling to Fulham as the Chelsea winger appears set for another change this summer.
The 30-year-old winger was shipped out to Arsenal last season, where he was used just a handful of times by Mikel Arteta, with Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri preferred on the right-hand side.
Football Insider understood last month that West Ham were interested in Sterling, but with the player on extremely high wages at Stamford Bridge, he has yet to seal a move away.
Silva’s side, completely the opposite of Chelsea and Enzo Maresca, have done very little business in the summer transfer window, with Benjamin Lecomte still their only arrival.
Fulham have been in talks for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Kevin, whose arrival would see him become a record signing for the Cottagers for £34.6million, but Sterling could be a different option before the deadline.

According to Fabrizio Romano (1 September), the Cottagers have revived their interest in Sterling, with talks also continuing for Shakhtar’s Kevin and AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze.
The winger made 28 appearances last season while with the Gunners, though only seven of those games were starts in the Premier League, having slipped down Arteta’s pecking order.

It is believed that Kevin has already arrived in London for a medical, but very little else has emerged over a deal since that news.
Football Insider verdict
As already discussed, the Cottagers have been one of the quietest teams in the Premier League over the summer, if not completely silent, with only Lecomte signed to give Bernd Leno a challenge.
Silva’s potential departure from Fulham has been discussed at length over the last few weeks, having also lost Andreas Pereira to Palmeiras, a key attacking figure for the club.
With just hours until the transfer window closes, it seems unlikely that Silva will be given the players he needs to drive Fulham up the Premier League table, but it also feels unlikely that he will down his tools.

The 48-year-old is always on the lookout for a new challenge, proven by his previous moves within England, but attempting to seal a European position with this side could be enough for him.
It is no secret that the manager wants more new faces in the building for the 2025/26 campaign, and while Sterling has struggled in recent seasons, he could offer a new dynamic in attack.
The 30-year-old is no longer in Maresca’s plans at Chelsea, having moved to their London rivals on loan last season, but a deal with the Cottagers could help revive the final few years of his career.
