Fulham could soon approve the sale of Rodrigo Muniz as they line up an ambitious approach to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.
The Cottagers have been on the lookout for a new striker all summer, with those efforts only intensifying following interest in Muniz from Leeds and Atalanta.
Marco Silva has expressed frustration at a slow summer so far, with back-up goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte Fulham‘s only signing as of yet.
But he’ll hope they can push forward with a potential deal for Man United striker Hojlund.

Hojlund is one of a host of attacking players up for sale at Old Trafford following an extensive summer rebuild, with over £200million spent on Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Now, Fulham are the latest club linked with the Denmark international, with the Mail reporting (14 August) that the Cottagers are ‘weighing up a move’.
AC Milan are also in talks with United for Hojlund and are understood to have made a £4.5million loan bid with a £39m permanent option.

Hojlund has so far been adamant that he wishes to stay and fight for his place under Ruben Amorim, fuelling rumours that Joshua Zirkzee could be sold instead.
With that in mind, Fulham are looking for assurances that Hojlund would actually be open to a move to Craven Cottage before taking things any further.

Hojlund has also been a target for Atalanta this summer, and Rodrigo Muniz will be hoping this latest development works in his favour.
Leeds United have scheduled a medical for free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin, so his hopes of moving to Elland Road now look dashed.
However, Atalanta are desperate for a new No.9 after selling 2024/25 Serie A top scorer Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah.
The Goddess would offer Muniz far better starting prospects, with the Brazilian scoring 17 goals across the last two Premier League seasons combined, despite just 26 of his 57 appearances coming from the start.
Hojlund’s arrival at Craven Cottage would clear the path for Muniz to exit, with Fulham keen to cash in as he enters the final year of his contract.
Meanwhile, it would also eliminate one of Atalanta’s summer targets, giving Muniz even better prospects.
