Bank Holidays are always are busy time for Liverpool city centre but next bank holiday will be unlike any other.
Liverpool will celebrate their Premier League win with hundreds of thousands of fans.
Liverpool Football Club will mark its 20th league title with the citywide victory parade on May 26.
The bus will begin its journey at Allerton Maze at 2.30pm before it make its way into Liverpool city centre where most fans will gather.
As the parade is expected to attract a huge number of people into the city, as well as locals, there will be some road closures people should be aware of ahead of the major celebration
The Strand will be closed northbound from the Upper Parliament Street/Great George Street junction to Leeds Street/Great Howard Street junction from 04.00 – 22.00, or until it is safe to re-open.
The southbound lane will be closed from approx.
Additionally, Leeds Street City bound will be closed from 12.00 until approx.
Fans of the Reds are being urged to plan your journey in advance and if you are using public transport, check the latest timetables and allow more time.
The victory parade route will start at Allerton Maze and will travel north bound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover.
From there it will journey along:
• Queens Drive
• Mill Bank
• West Derby Road
• Islington
• Leeds Street
• The Strand
