Manchester City could be set to lose two players to Galatasaray as the Turkish giants eye another star from Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Guardiola wants to trim the size of his squad and Man City have stated players can leave “for the right price” this summer.
Man City defeated Wolves 4-0 in the opening match of their Premier League season with summer arrival Tijjani Reijnders impressing on his debut.
However, there was no space for a couple of first team stars in the squad with Ederson and Phil Foden both missing alongside Man City’s injured absentees.

The Athletic [19 August], now report that Akanji could join Ederson over in Turkey, with the Swiss defender one player who could leave the Etihad if a suitable offer comes in.
Talks are continuing between Ederson and Galatasaray with a possible deal being lined up.

Football Insider Verdict
Akanji was an unused substitute as Man City beat Wolves and the 30-year-old could be coming to the end of a three year spell at the Etihad.
Man City looked at their scintillating best at Wolves, with Guardiola unlikely to make many changes for the visit of Spurs next.
Akanji therefore faces a tough task getting back into the starting line-up, and a move away may guarantee greater game time for the defender, and moving to Galatasaray will still guarantee the Switzerland international Champions League football.
