Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have criticised Liverpool supporters who booed Trent Alexander-Arnold when he came on as a substitute against Arsenal on Sunday.
The 26-year-old is expected to join Real Madrid after announcing his intention to leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer.
Alexander-Arnold's announcement has caused a split among Liverpool supporters, with loud boos greeting his appearance against Arsenal as the Reds let a 2-0 lead slip to draw 2-2.
Anfield's response to Alexander-Arnold has led to much of the discourse being about the poisonous atmosphere, as opposed to Liverpool celebrating their 20th league title before they lift the trophy on May 25.

And that was exactly the topic of discussion during the latest edition of The Rest is Football, with Lineker and Shearer, who both made no secret of their admiration for Liverpool supporters, disappointed with what they heard.
Lineker said: "It grated on me.
They are incredible fans, Liverpool, but on that occasion - and it wasn't all the fans - I found it a bit disappointing."
Shearer labelled the booing "not a good look" for Liverpool.
He said: "I saw the reaction on social media which is obviously not the best (way to judge) but I don't like that.
I don't like fans booing players.

Meanwhile, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk admitted that Alexander-Arnold will "have to deal" with what comes his way after hearing the reaction on Sunday, but says his team-mate expected the response to his decision.
He said: "I think the manager said it right in the press conference that you can't decide how anyone feels about the decision he made for him and his family.
