Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher erupted into a heated debate over Phil Foden's best position for England.

He's played every position for England, he hasn't done it.

Stop saying 'Oh my god' every time I speak." The debate raged on as Neville likened Foden's treatment by England to that of a "used car" and suggested playing him in front of Declan Rice and next to Jude Bellingham.

As tensions rose and voices grew louder, Arsenal legend Ian Wright chimed in with a cheeky "louder!" Neville continued: "Oh my god, you've just asked me where I'd play him and I've told you where I'd play him.

Absolute rubbish."

The debate intensified as Carragher claimed Foden was last season's best Premier League player, yet was undermined by rivals Saka and Bellingham in the England set-up.

In a surprising turn, Neville equated Foden's talent with Bellingham's, eliciting shock from Wright, who exclaimed, "What?!"

The discussion turned to Thomas Tuchel's impact on England before Neville drew parallels between Foden's treatment and Paul Scholes' past struggles for position, when the former Manchester United man overshadowed by Gerrard and Lampard.

Neville backed his view by suggesting a 5-3-2 formation for England's 'Golden Generation', and confidently declared: "He's [Carragher] gone f****** quiet, hasn't he?

Because he knows I'm right."

Carragher couldn't resist pointing out to Neville that he had once opted for a 4-3-3 formation, prompting the United legend to exclaim: "For Foden, you absolute tool!" which sent Ian Wright into fits of laughter.

The situation escalated comically when Roy Keane chimed in, joking that they'd never win a trophy without including a goalkeeper in Neville's lineup.

Capping off the humorous debate, Neville turned to the camera to apologise: "Sorry lads, you didn't deserve that waking up on your Thursday morning."
