Tottenham fans are not happy at the club’s handling of Mathys Tel after a journalist revealed surprise news about where he stands within Thomas Frank’s squad.

Thomas Frank’s arrival has shaken things up in North London over the summer window, but the France Under-21 international has looked set to be key man under the Dane after consistently appearing in pre-season and at the start of the new Premier League campaign.
Tottenham have been backed to sell Tel for £80m next summer if he has a good 2025/26 season, but he will be unable to impress in Europe after a surprising development was confirmed by a journalist.

Tel will undoubtedly feel hard done by, considering that he is joined on that list by players that are either seriously injured, have been seeking moves away throughout the summer, or are simply inexperienced and not ready for Europe’s premier club competition.

Spurs fans did not react well to Gold’s update, with many questioning the decision to leave him out and feeling bad for Tel after he was snubbed, as one supporter replied: “Tel instead of Kinsky is genuinely idiotic, second year in a row the club has foolishly prioritized a goalkeeper who isn’t going to play over an actual contributor,” while another added: “If true that’s a nightmare for Tel.
