While the starting line-up that day did not feature many of the latest additions, Forest have been extremely active in the transfer market in the last week.
Nottingham Forest announced James McAtee and Omari Hutchinson, adding further depth to the squad as Forest prepare for their long-awaited return to European football for the first time in 29 years.
Now, the squad has been strengthened once again following the club’s latest announcement on social media, which quickly drew plenty of reaction from within the dressing room.

The 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder left Aston Villa just a year ago in a £42m move to Juventus but endured a difficult spell in Italy.
Now, he has returned to the Premier League with Forest, looking to revive his form in England’s top flight.
Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa had even explored the possibility of bringing Luiz back to Villa Park, but Forest acted decisively to get a deal over the line.
His arrival adds to an already ambitious transfer window, with the club spending around £140m on seven new players to bolster Nuno’s squad.

Reports suggest Forest are considering a move to bring back former player Matty Cash to the City Ground.
Football Insider recently reported that Aston Villa are open to offers for Cash, with any sale likely to provide them with funds to reinvest.
Forest are now monitoring the situation closely and could look to capitalise if Villa decide to cash in.
